Mid Rivers Junior Golf League - 2010
Where: Mid Rivers Golf Course
When: Tuesdays & Wednesdays, June 8/9 through August 10/11
Play on Tuesday, Wednesday, OR both days.
Tee Times from 10:00 AM to 12:45 PM
Typically older juniors will tee off between 10:00 and 11:00
Younger juniors between 11:00 and 12:45
First week tee times will be selected at league meeting.
Ages: Boys and Girls ages 9 - 17.
Eligibility requirements include knowledge of golf rules and previous Junior League or equivalent experience.
Format:
Two-person scramble will be featured the first and tenth weeks.
Individual 9-hole stroke play is the format for weeks 2 through 9.
Handicaps will be established after one complete round of stroke play.
Four sets of tees will be used to support the abilities of different age groups.
Prizes will be awarded weekly for contest winners.
Contest examples include low actual scores (low gross), low handicap scores (low net) reflecting weekly updated handicaps, Closest-to-the-Pin on par 3's, and Long Drive in the fairway.
Volunteers: We encourage parent participation.
Volunteers activity includes: event monitoring, accurate scoring support, and general assistance.
Golf Discount Gift Cards will be awarded for volunteer participation.
Cost: $40 one-time league entry fee,
and $14 greens fee for each round of golf you play.
League Meeting:
An introductory meeting will be held Sunday, 6 June at 5:00 PM
in the Mid Rivers Golf Links banquet center.
It will last 60 minutes and discuss league format and tee times assignments.
The Junior Golfers will be given a golf etiquette lesson on the course.
